Information notice pursuant to Art. 13 of the Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please be informed that Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 “General Data Protection Regulation” provides for the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data. According to such regulation, this processing will be based on the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency, adequacy, relevance, purpose and storage limitation, accuracy and updating, data minimization, integrity, and accountability, pursuant to Art. 6, par. 1 lett. a) of the GDPR, with your prior consent.

We, therefore, provide you with the following information:

  1. The data you provide (name, surname, email address, phone number, residence, username, password, ID) will be processed exclusively to allow registration on the “Embryo Transfer website”, available at https://embryo.vet.unipi.it of the Department of Veterinary Sciences at the University of Pisa.
  2. The processing of personal data will be performed by the following means: automated processing. The data will be retained for as long as necessary for the purposes they were collected for, not exceeding 12 months. The password you create will be stored with suitable encryption criteria in the databases of the University of Pisa and will not be accessible to third parties, including University employees.
  3. Registration on the website is on a voluntary basis and the provision of data is mandatory for that purpose. Any refusal to provide such data results in the impossibility of registering. You may revoke your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before the revocation.
  4. Data will not be disclosed to other parties (defined third parties) and will not be subject to dissemination (undefined third parties).
  5. The Data Controller is the University of Pisa, with registered office in Lungarno Pacinotti 43, Pisa, represented by the pro tempore Rector, available as follows: (certified e‐mail system – Posta Elettronica Certificata‐PEC) protocollo@pec.unipi.it.
  6. The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is the Director of the Department of Veterinary Sciences at the University of Pisa.
  7. The authorized personnel for data processing are:
      • Staff belonging to Polo 5, Information Services Departments in the Area of Economics, Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences;
      • Staff belonging to the Administrative Services of the Department of Veterinary Sciences;
      • Staff belonging to the Embryo Transfer Laboratory of the Department of Veterinary Sciences.
  8. At the Data Controller’s office the Data Protection Officer (DPO) is available, appointed pursuant to Art. 37 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.   9. You may exercise at any time your rights under Sections 2, 3, and 4 of Chapter III of Regulation (EU) No. 679/2016 (e.g., rights to information and access, rectification and erasure, restriction and right to object to personal data processing and portability).
